I am scared not gaining enough...

Doc saw him at 5 days, gained fine.

Didnt want to see him until 2 months...

My sister thinks he is not gaining enoigh so I stepped on scale with him and he is 8.2.

Your scales will be no where near as accurate as medical scales especially with you on them as well. I would take lo to a centre and get him weighed properly before you panic. Also although it isnt ideal, its not a massive problem as long as he doesnt loose weight.

At 3 weeks old, Mickey was only half an ounce more than birth weight. He had lost 10% by day 3 though so from his lowest weight had gained about 10oz. I knew loads of people whose babies were gaining 1lb in a week!! It just took us a little while to get established. Now he gains the appropriate amount each time, sometimes a bit more. Take your LO back to doc for weighing as his scales are much more accurate than your own x

If you weigh on home scales this way, they can be up to 1lb out. My son only just regained his birthweight by day 16 and is gaining about an ounce a day. I bought a proper baby weighing scale and while still not as accurate as medical grade scales it does give a better idea than getting on the scales without baby and then with, also it weighs to within 10g (some weigh to within 5 grams) whereas most home scales weigh to within 100g or in the case of pounds and ounces, to within about 3 ounces xx
