Thank you so much ladies. I've come to terms with the fact that people will scrunch their nose up and make comments. He is Torben though and I've been talking to him as that and trying different nicknames. I just can't wait to meet him now in all honesty.

Its a nice name! I actually.don't even think its that unusual to be ho eat, it just sounds like a new, cool boys name! It is completely unacceptable for your mum to say she won't use the name and will you a nickname

I love it! I think it's perfectly unique without being strange. And remember, no matter what name you choose someone will always have something negative to say about it, as long as you and hubby like the name that's all that matters.
