Baby Bugs Due February 2013

Jades poohs are not that bad now actually. If anything they are firmer and only goes like once every two days but its never that smelly!?

Im not against early weaning at all but id say not before 11weeks just because I can not imagine a baby even swallowing it at that age!?

AlwAys like to think I do what I think is right tbh. One of my rl friends is a breastfeeding advisor and tbh she is a bit pushy. She said she was disappointed I didnt even try and breastfeed jade. It doesnt bother me that I didn't lol so dont know why she has to have an input. Silly thing is- both her children have hayfever, asthma etc all the stuff she told me being bf would prevent! My kids have all been bottlefed and matthew and ruby are 7 and 9 and never ever had antibiotics in their lives! Not that it matters but I really hate that fact she tuts when I get a bottle out grr

I think I do loads of stuff against guidelines but I trust myself as a mother. Yesterday I gave jade a hit of icing. Sure its not going to be beneficial to her but tbh it wont harm either!

I make some veggies for jade and other times I buy jars :)

I admire your confidence as a mum MF. I'm too nervous to not follow guidelines. I'm so tired of people being pushy about BFing. It's such a personal thing. People shouldn't judge.

I'm dreading weaning. Defo waiting til 6 months. Went on a weaning course last Friday, seems complicated! X

should i be worried that lena cant sit up yet she just flops forward yet can stand:wacko:

ive let lena have a suck /gum on things of mine before like a nectarine or strawberry but not brave enough for cakes etc some of my friends were giving there child chocolate at her age:wacko:

My ruby never crawled etc she went from rolling to walking lol x

thanks hun i think im just worrying over sily things with development as there is certain early signs of dyspraxia etc and i dont want her struggling like i did with no help should she have it

I have nothing against earlyweaning AT ALL. I weaned Oscar early too but I just think 6 weeks is ridiculous. Too soon. Baby is still brand new! Its so mad to think how guidelines have changed over the years.

Baby club is the worst part of this forum. It is full of judgmental bullies and there are too many 'gangs' that try to belittle other mums but they do it so slyly. In my opinion anyway lol.

Morning!

AP - ewww gross, on your bedding? Yuck!

Hi Wiggler!

Whisper - that picture of Lena is amazing, she's so cute and looks so strong! I don't think you should be worried, except that you'll need to baby-proof your place sooner! She looks like she's doing great!

MF - one of my my obgyns calls them bf nazis. He said it makes him so mad to see/hear them "lecturing" new mothers, especially in the NICU. Told me to ignore them as I was doing the best I could, actually said he couldn't believe how long I kept pumping with such minimal results. I really took some crap from a couple of the NICU nurses, makes me mad thinking back. I was trying so hard, and i was having a hard time with Blake's early arrival and all the guilt and uncertainty. I should say, though, the majority of NICU nurses were incredibly supportive and kind to me and Blake.

There are definitely cliches in therr! I dont think the 6week old would swallow it anyway so how on earth can it fill him up?

Excuse me ladies, you clearly haven't learn what I have about baby club, it is a fab place for a cup of tea and biscuits to read crazy keyboard warriors go off on one at each other  Maybe I need a life...

haha wiggler. I have only read a few threads so must be missing the drama...:coffee:

6 weeks sounds crazy for off a spoon. He can't even make sense of it now at almost 5 mo so that seems odd.

we had a decent night. I decided to just go back to feeding every time he wakes and coincidence or not he did do slightly better last night. sigh whatever. sleep prop or not I guess we forge on.

I just realized that dh is going to nearly wipe out my milk freezer stash with my dc trip! trying to eat oatmeal (yuck) and drink loads to try and be able to pump enough to be prepared...argh I had slacked off pumping as we had so much...I think I am going to try and bring the milk home that I pump while away - will be a pain as I will have to try and freeze it and keep it cool in a checked bag all while being in a hotel...just can't throw away three days of milk though:wacko:

video of lena is cute whisper! love your accent...you all must post videos of your cute lo's with their accents :)

Jem hope the runny nose is nothing! Stay away sick bugs!

I can't stand it, I think some of them are just down and out bullies lol. I have been sucked in on a few occassions and mouthed off at people
