Has anyone used a carrier or sling after a c-section? I was thinking of getting one, for short walks, and when I take Hayden to toddler groups, so that I can carry baby around with me, but still have my hands free to play with Hayden. I like the look of the baba sling, as it seems simple, not too bulky, and is good for breastfeeding, too. I am just a little worried I won't get much use out of it if I do have a section, in case it's too much for me to carry baby around in it. But then, the alternative would be taking her in in the car seat, which is obviously way heavier. Any experience or thoughts?

I used a moby wrap after my c section from when ds2 was only a few weeks old and didn't experience any problems.

Was also thinking this. We have a moby that I used with my son but as I've had a section this time was wondering when I'd be able to or if I'd be able to use it this time?

As long as its not fastened near your scar there should not be a problem

I had a carrier with my DD and I was using it a week after my section with her never bothered me or anything

I've been using a mai tai and starting it off under bust

My DH got me the baba sling after my c-section as i was finding it tiring holding/rocking DD and the baba sling meant it took the weight and i could go to the shop/park etc without having to lift our heavy buggy in/out the house/car.
It took a little getting used to but once i watched the 'how to' videos on their wed site found it really easy and comfy to use and continued to use it till she was 8months.

I bought a moby wrap and used it the day I got home after my c-section, and it was the best buy for me.

Hi
I first used my baby bjorn sling 2 weeks after my c section for short walks. As you say, its alot better than trying to carry around the bulky car seat, which at 6 weeks after my c section, is still the only thing that makes me aware of my scar!!

My carrier was a life saver for me. I really struggled to push the pram but carrying lo in the carrier was so easy. We had one of these https://www.wilkinet.co.uk/
