Anyone have a baby fund! i have one of those piggy banks that you cant open, and all my extra change goes in there, Will make things a whole lot easier for when the time actually comes!! :happydance::wohoo:

no as im currently saving for a house deposit, but i constantly buy stuff oops x

I have a Fun 2 Save pink Pig it's a piggy bank with an electronic display it recognizes the coin going in and keeps count it also has a reset button on the inside, the pigs tail screws off so you can dump the money I'm up to about 42 it just change and it's helpful because hubby and I used to sit and count all the change so this works and when you empty it you just reset it, it's a great thing since you can't take change out per say or you will cause the display's amount to be off, the display times out after about 30 sec of no activity so the batteries are preserved. I paid 9.99 @ CVS they carry it in the seasonal aisle along with all the other as seen on tv items and it takes 3 AAA batteries but is sooo worth it! We use our change for hard times but haven't had that in a long time or unexpected expense like a few weeks ago before I got the pig hubby needed a tire for our SUV and found one for $75 mounted and balanced and low and behold we had $90 saved in our glass...

Thats a fun idea! I'm in the same boat as mummy.wannabe - trying to save for a house down payment. I like the idea of buying a little piggy bank. Darn, now I have to go shopping!

I like how it shows the amount! i like mine to because i cant open it until i want the money, so it stops me from going in to take a couple dollars out if i need. i tried to shake a dollar out the other day because i wanted it, lol didnt work, thank god or i would always be doing that haha

LOL I actually have a BABY BANK ACCOUNT!
Crazy I know! I opened a bank account 2 years ago to start saving! When I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo, I knew there was always a chance that I wouldn't be able to conceive naturally. So DP and I started saving, after my second surgery, in case I do end up needing fertility drugs, IUI or IVF.. What we are hoping is that I can beat the odds and get pregnant naturally or with just meds.. Then we can spend all the money spoiling the baby instead! And the start of a college fund! lol. We have managed to put extra money here and there in it and 2 tax returns as well. Family members have surprised us with donations also! Feel very blessed for family:)

We also have a "Baby Savings" Account. I have also set up an automatic deposit into that account from our Pay account the morning after our pays go in. Thought we might need some money when I am on maternity leave.

I am doing the same thing, started a baby fund a year ago. My mother has one as well for me lol.

I totally need to start one. I cannot believe I did not think of it. LOL

My husband got me one for Christmas it say's Baby Fund on the Front, and it has a poem attached which reads: This money pot is for hopes an schemes. To help you save for all your dreams. And on the back of the pot it reads: Save up all your money for lovely baby things and look forward to the happiness a tiny newborn brings.
It made me cry when I opened it :)
