~Baby in May 2013-Getting Fit-NTNP #2 :) Lets do this!

I find myself on here a lot lately and looking for people who are NTNP/TTC #2 with a LO less than 4 mos. I am ecstatic to say that our LO was born in May and I am so in love with being mom that the smile just stays on my face when I look at her. She is worth every pound on my tummy! ...along with those beautiful stretch marks! :haha:

I am sure there are other ladies out here who are NTNP #2 (or 3 or 4 or 5) and are ready to get fit in the process!

I figure if I start a journal/thread, I will keep myself accountable and get my workouts in. So far the past three weeks have been great. I have been getting a lot of walking/weights in and running on the other days. I have been very good at logging my food in My Fitness Pal.

A little back ground. We TTC #1 for 1 year and 7mos and then sought out fertility specialist. I have PCOS, so I was started on Clomid and the ovidrel trigger shot. With success, we concieved our daughter after the second round. In my life I have ever only gotten AF three times on my own. The first AF I got was when I was 18 and it was VERY VERY heavy for 11 days! I was put on BCPs to regulate and came off of them shortly after being married. :) From here on out, there will be no contraceptives used and we will live our lives ready for a baby at any moment.

I think staying fit and healthy is very important, especially for child bearing purposes! Don't get me wrong, I am not some 100 pound, calorie counting, crazy with work outs girl. I am just health concious, watch what I eat and always get my heart pumping with all different exercises. I LOVE to run!:thumbup:

Pre pregnancy I was 140-145lbs, and have been since I started running 3 years ago. (Prior to that I was always 130.) I guess it's true about muscle weighing more than fat.

At delivery was 162lbs (total gain of 22lbs) 11 weeks post baby I am sitting at 154lbs. Starting to look and feel better every day. I always have to remind myself that when you start to get back to working out, you gain a little and then start to lose. Soooo ready to see the scale numbers drop. More imporantly, I want my body in prime shape to feel good and be ready for ttc #2.

Who is with me!?! I know this is long, but I know this can be a super positive and successful thread! Lets stick together. I plan to update daily. :) :happydance:

Good morning/afternoon/night to all!! :happydance:Today is going to be a great day full of lots of success. If you are serious about your fitness goals, follow the thread! I am a positive person and I LOVE seeing people meet goals..along with getting those beautiful :bfp:s!! :)

So far the morning has been great! I've had a bowl of oatmea and a cup of coffee so far today. A large glass of water is in order in the next hour along with a yogurt. KEEP that metabolism going, and eat small every couple hours. :) :thumbup: Heading out for a jog with LO and the stroller soon after! I may not get far, but it is farther than sitting on the couch!! :haha:

Now come on, I know you are all out there! Let's reach these goals, look great, feel great and keep motivated!!

:thumbup:Morning breakfast done, and baby fed! Getting ready to do 30 day shred day 2! For the past couple weeks it has been running and mild weight lifting. Ready for a change up! Good luck to all with your health and fitness goals! :happydance:
 
Holy cow! I feel the soreness today. I did day two yesterday, and then I also took a long walk with my little one :) Today, I am aiming for a 2 mile jog plus day 3 of the 30 day shred. I'm supposed to go out tonight to dinner with some friends, & I want to make sure I burn enough calories in case I indulge too much!

My arms and legs are killing me from Jillian, but I know that that is a good burn!

I wish everyone else well with their fitness goals today, wherever you may be!!! :)
 
Day 3 done and in the books!! Holy cow am I sore. It is currently raining here (well...sprinkling), but thats not stopping me. Heading out for a short run! :)

:happydance: YahooO! I did go out for that run yesterday. I was intending on just doing 1 mile since it was raining, and ended up doing 2! :thumbup: Today, I am feeling a little less sore and ready to knock out day 4 of 30DS.

Feeling kind of silliy though, as I woke up and started cleaning and getting LO ready for the day. I forgot to eat breakfast! :dohh: Getting some other stuff done around the house, eating lunch and then doing DAY 4!

On day 6 of 30 DS! I took Saturday off and did a 3.6 mile run where I PRd by 40 sec!! Yahoo! :thumbup: I then took Sunday to heal a little from soreness. I am soo ready to start day 6 and knock it out of the park! :happydance:

Day 6 done and in the books! LO seems a little fussy today, but I still managed to get it in :) Feeling less sore which allows me to put even more effort into it! :happydance:

Hoping to maybe also get a 2 mile run in tonight. Apparently today could possibly be a fertile day for me, so DH and I may try :thumbup:

Another workout in for the day! It ended up being more of a walk/jog rather than a run due to it being sooo HOT! I was under my calorie goal, and feel I made very good eating choices! :)

Each day, I feel like this is getting easier to make good decisions on MAKING TIME for the workouts and staying in charge when it comes to eating out for dinner. :thumbup:

Again, I didn't eat breakfast today. I tried to make up for it by eating some more fruit! :winkwink:

Day 7 done of 30 DS!!! :thumbup: I also went ahead and went to a 1hr step class in town that incorporates weights and abs :)

I am feeling soooo positive lately about getting this body back in prime! I have ALWAYS been the person that said having babies will NOT make me get too big. :winkwink:

I am really hoping to atleast lose 1 pound this week. I weigh in Friday, and based on my calorie intake (1500 cals) daily, I feel like I can do it. :happydance:

:baby: Currently, LO is sitting in my lap sleeping and I have lullabys on in the background. Feeling soo blessed! :flower:
 
Day 8 is here!! Holy cow, before I know it I will be on to Cycle 2! I have been very busy with LO and housework today, and I have not exercised yet. :dohh:

I have, however been very good with what I ate and I am getting ready to head out for a 2 mile run and then do 30DS.

On another note...I think I may be fertile and LO #2 could be in the near future :happydance: We shall see!!!

I love your enthusiasm :) DH & I aren't NTNP; part of the reason we're actually waiting is so I can lose some weight so I'd love to join you on this! I have the 30 Day Shred too so it'd be fun to do it "together" & keep up with each other's progress :)

Day 9 is here! I have been bust today. I took a walk so far, and plan to do a 2 mile run and day 9 30 DS. :) We are at my parents house right now doing our fantasy football draft. I have had two Bud Lights, so I better get some water in me before heading out the door!
