Looks like ill be having another big baby, got my ultrasound today and shes 7lbs 8 oz

Well if your other one was bigger i'd guess that makes sense! But, I've been told a lot that ultrasounds are NOT very accurate for judging baby size, and friends of mine have said that they were told their babies were going to be big and a certain weight and they were almost a full lb smaller than that when actually born!

Sounds about right. My son was 8lb, 3oz and ten days early. I wish I knew how big this one was, but I'm probably looking at another 8lber (or possibly bigger if she doesn't come out soon).

Had my scan today hun and mine mine is 7lb 4 and am few days behind you - which mw said was normal, said if go to term will be about 8 6- my mums were 10 9, 10 8 12 2 and 8(but brought 2 & 1/2 weeks early because of the others!) so am quite happy with that!

Hi Hun I was told baby was 7 lb 11 at 37 weeks. She was born at 39+ 2 at 8lbs, so not as big as I thought she would be! X

my son was 7lb 13oz when he was born at 38+4 so if he went to 40 then he would have been nearly 9lb, this baby is measuring at 5lbs at 32 weeks so im guessing im going to geta big one this time lol.

i wish i was able to find out the size before birth so i could plan better but i don't have any other ultrasounds planned. guess it has to be a mystery!

Tell me about it- Imagine being her daughter! At that she had a failed epidural which pierced the spinal fluid so caused her brain to lift giving her a violent headache and epi obviously didn't work. Mw's kept saying couldn't do anything so she had to give birth to a 12.2 baby with just gas and air and a violent headache. She had to lie flat on her back for 6 weeks after to let her hole seal over in her spine. This was years ago and they understnad more now that it is a risk so would know what to do straight away so wouldn't be the same
Now.
Whenever i worry about labour i keep telling myself she went through all that and still went on to have me (which was straightforward) so it can't be that bad!
