I am measuring 40 weeks - well was last week and have a growth scan on Friday to see how big bubz is. I had one with DD1 at 36 weeks and she was estimated to be weighing 8lb 10oz, she was born 3 weeks later weighing 9lb 10oz. I am sure that would be about right so I'm not sure what to expect with this scan, whether to go with the estimation or not as I have seen on here they can be greatly inaccurate.
Anyways I have SPD this time which I didn't have last time, could be the influence of an active 2 year old

It does make me want to throw in the towel at the best of times but I am trying to be active and do some light exercises which seem to help.
With DD1 they made no indication of what they would want to do as it they were more concerned and convinced I had GD due to my high BMI anyways. I tested negative! So they more or less left me too it with only my midwife offering to do a sweep at our next appointment which was at 39 1/2 weeks, though I didn't make it to then anyway. Think they are being more pre-cautious with this one as I had a prev. cs and they probably don't want to put too much strain on the scar, tbh I am happy to carry on till bubz is ready, a friend of mine has just been through an unsuccessful induction which lasted 3 days before they did a c-section. I don't fancy that and besides they will put restrictions on me due to prev. cs anyway.
It's all down to personal choice though. I am only willing to have a c-section if babies head is really too big to fit through my pelvis following a thorough investigation and not guesstamations or if she became distressed for too long.
I'd say be open-minded and do research, there are some great threads on here with plenty of advice and talk over any concerns with your health carer. You are the final decision maker so anything you are not happy with needs to be brought up. I intend to do this at my appt. Friday (leaving it to the last min, thats me!).
