Anyone looked into/done this?

What are your experiences?

I'd like to perhaps get LO into baby modelling, as she enjoys when I do photo shoots with her and I think she's gorgeous lol.

My little guy is signed up with an agency - it goes live on Monday so he hasn't had any jobs yet. It took a few days for them to offer him a contract and he has three years' representation; so far they seem very good, but we'll see if he gets any work!

Oh me too! I have been wondering this! I have found some things online but they all seem scammy!

If you do this just be wary - a lot of agencies get you to spend hundreds of pounds on professional shots. It's not necessary! If they're asking you to do that they're just trying to rip you off.

Yeah I've done a little bit of research and they should only charge to have LO on their books not for a shoot, I'm a photographer so would they let me make my own portfolio?

Anyone suggest a legit company?

I went with a company called Talent Management. They're based in Norwich but they are nationwide.
Noah has his own portfolio which I can upload photos to and change as I see fit.

Just becareful there's loads of info that there a scam it's tge same company as models direct who were on BBC watchdog as a scam they have just renamed them self my lo models but I've never seen any of those child from that agencey at castings

I hear eaurokids is the best my friends lo has had tv work as well as mamas and papas but after doing my own research they're not great as you have tp pay £170 for the shoot. They did accept Poppy but cause they would b/c they want our money :dohh:
I do know littlewoods catalogue get their models from eurokids though as I asked them
So I got recommended to Elliott Brown and I've sent her photos off and just waiting to hear back now. They don't require any payment upfront.

There is a lot of waiting around and travelling, most shoots are in London and they require you be there for 9am (most shoots) so be prepared. Your lo will be required to have a good temperament too not just a pretty face! Modelling isn't for everyone but I'm sure you know that :flower:

That's why I'm thinking of doing it, she is a very happy baby (lord only knows how with me and OH for parents lol) and loves having her picture taken, she tends to smile and giggle the whole time I set up some shoots :)

My LO got accepted by Talent Management, but I looked into it a LOT before deciding not to bother right now. I wanted to do it to give her a mix in different environments & with other people with the money going towards her future. But I looked at what % they took from each shoot, plus add this to any travel and sometimes it didnt seem worth it.

If its something your wanting to do - shop around, the agency fees vary greatly from agency to agency xx

What kind of amount do they ask for fees on average? Is it likely to get work once they're on the books? : /

That's good then

OT but your little one was born on the same day as mine :cloud9:

Oh wow and your lo's name is what we've got chosen for our next lol Florence was going to be Poppy's middle name but I liked it too much for a middle name and dh wanted Poppy and nothing else :dohh:
What time was your lo born? x

Your lo is gorgeous and I'm sure she will get lots of jobs!!
