I know I posted yesterday but this is a follow up question and google and reviews just aren't helping so I was hoping you lovely ladies could help.

I came to a decision quickly that I'd go for a BT digital 100 or 150 as they have such great reviews.. but my mum is telling me I must get one with a breathing/motion sensor mat... she is now telling me she'll pay the difference between the one I was going to get and one with a motion sensor. :dohh:

The problem is I can find no good reviews for motion sensor monitors and none of the ones I can see have the features or reviews of the BT digital 100. So I don't like any of them:shrug:

Have any of you gone for motion/breathing sensor mats... can anyone recommend them or give me any advice on them or if they really work?

Thank you

xx

I've read that they are a bit OTT for a full term/health baby and I can imagine they would send you a little nuts. My brother had one for his kids and I remember my mum saying there would be so many times when she was babysitting where the alarm would go off, she'd go flying up the stairs just to find the baby was absolutely fine, just rolled off the mat. I wouldn't bother personally!

i am getting a clip for babies nappy, i am different after my loss i am extra careful i can get it for about £35 and think its worth its weight in gold. if it gives me some false alarms so what ?? atleast when something is worng i will know, they have been shown to save a lot of babies lives

if its not for you fair enough but dont think they should be knocked, some people like to be extra careful

i decided against one because i heard they go off all the time, so i would aways panic. i got the bt 150, from playing around with it its really good.

We went for a Babysense 2 mat and the Respisense clip from https://www.babymonitorsdirect.com/

it has 2 mats so baby won't fall off, has loads of reviews and they use them in hospital.

Some people might think it's a bit OTT but to us it's not, the peace of mind we'll get outweighs anything else and it's VERY rare to get false alarms if you get a good one!
