I'm having a boy ! Yay ! We're very excited (can you tell !) but CANNOT come up with a boys name that I like. I had a few girls names that I loved, but they're obviously useless now.

I was hoping you could all post suggestions/names you like etc and hopefully something will inspire. I'd really appreciate your help because scouring alphabetical lists of baby names isn't helping and it's boring.

I'll start with some girls names I loved and won't be using..

Sloane
Martha
Mallory
Maeve
Camryn
Nora

Thanks !

I really love the name Austin however my OH wasn't as keen so we agreed on Isaac which we both love

My OH won't even start discussing names with me yet and I'm half way there! I also have absolutely no clue what to call this baby. He also says he might not even start thinking until the baby is here, I'm not sure if he's joking or not, but I'm not happy!

Something might come to you in your sleep or just pop into your head one day, I spend time in the baby names section reading other posts to see if anything jumps out at me? Might be an idea? xxx

boys names are sooo hard arent they. my hubbi doesnt agree with any that i like. right now i'm loving Jack and Jackson. urm other names Farley, Cameron, Finley, Issac. Hubbi doesnt like any of them though :( x

Hi I was exactly the same! I had girls names, but no boys, and we found out three weeks ago we are having a boy and are still struggling, I am just hoping I get a flash of inspiration and come up with something lol. Congratulations on your little boy :) xx

I had the same problem, had such a beautiful name picked out for a girl - boys are so much harder.

If it helps, these are the ones we had although when he arrived we chose something completely different as he looked like none of them!

Alec
Zachery
Toby
Daniel
Russell
Leo
Isaac

Thanks hun, at least I know Im not alone! The only thing is, whenever I go, "Hmmm what about this?" he ALWAYS says no! So annoying! I never thought naming a baby would be this hard, I feel for you all! xxx

ahh see dont do the hmmmm what about this until labour or after the birth :winkwink: once they seen what you go through they agree to anything :haha:

I'm the exact opposite. I had a son's name all picked out, but the baby is a girl.

If it's any help to you, I was going to name the baby Trevor Matthew. My older son is Colin James. :)

My boys are called Callum and Kieran. If we had a boy this time I liked Liam or Oliver.

We had a hard time with boys names too! Hubby and I agreed on almost nothing.

So far we like

Sean
Kellan or Kellen
Austin

the middle name will be either James or Patrick. It is so hard to decide.

I'm not sure if these will be your name style but maybe they will spark some ideas anyway!! :flower: Good Luck finding a name you agree on, me and hubby have such different tastes in names makes it so damn hard

Jaden
Ethan
Noah
Jeremiah
Hunter
Tyler

We are having our 2nd boy and won't even discuss names because there is just nothing we like.

We named our firstborn Liam.

Some others on the list at that time:
Chase
Cooper
Reid
Memphis(my DH is a huge Gone in Sixty Seconds fan) ;)
Gavin
Mason

We have to mainly avoid first names with more than 2 syllables or end in son because of our last name.

Deciding upon a boy name is hard!

This is great ! I like Leo ! No doubt DH will hate it though...we do not agree on names.

We're the same m22b, our last name ends in 'son' so it limits a lot of names. My other problem is, most of the names I could see myself using are already in the family or friends. I like Kieran and Liam, but I have cousins (who are brothers) with those names.

I keep coming back to Hamish, but the problem is the girl who grew up next door to DH had a boy and named him Hamish. Not so much a problem, but my MIL sees her all the time (long family friends) and talks about 'little Hamish' a lot. Would kind of be a non-event to be the second Hamish, if you know what I mean.

I also really like Sean, Joel, Joseph and Sam, but again friends and family got there before me..

My favourite name ever is Connor, thats my first sons name

Maddox
Kerr
Quinn
Noah
Issac
Willem

Good luck I have a similar prob in that me and OH cant agree on boys name - only girls, its bound to be a boy now.
