I was thinking, since we're all out shopping now and there are a lot of threads asking for ideas, we could do like a profile for our babies of the ages they are now so that anyone whose baby will be that age at xmas can get an idea of what their baby might want. Fill in as little or many of the sections as you want ![winkwink :winkwink: :winkwink:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/bigwink.gif)
Theakston
Age: 20weeks/4 1/2months
Gender: Male
His skills/interests:
- He's just learnt to pull the toys on his toy bar to make the lights on his bouncer flash & music play.
- He seems to enjoy music and is getting the hang of cause & effect.
- He's just learnt to turn the pages of his cloth books.
- Kicking is now good fun! He lies on his playmat ad kicks the dangling toys on the arches as well as grabbing them.
- Finding his feet & hands too
- Can now pass things from hand to hand so enjoys rattles
- Chews everything
Favourite toys:
- Buzzy bee teether ~ https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000NDB418/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
- Pets book ~ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0333902...ode=asn&creative=7974&creativeASIN=0333902513
- Door bouncer ~ https://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&...tigger+door+bouncer&_sacat=See-All-Categories
- Colours & textures hedgehog ~ https://www.hamleys.com/Black_and_White_Hedgehog_+_Hamleys_Toys/788372,default,pd.html
- Anything from his beanstalk set ~ can't find the exact one but this is similar - https://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3498619/Trail/searchtext>BEANSTALK.htm
- Car seat/pram mobile thing ~ https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330372872482&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
- Vibrating caterpillar ~ https://www.mothercare.com/Motherca...ing=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core
- Ladybird rag toy ~ https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1845390601/ref=ox_ya_oh_product (look at similar items for alternatives and cheaper sellers)
Other ideas:
- Wrist & foot rattles/foot finders
- Anything that spins with balls in (like the tummy of the cow in the beanstalk set)
- Mirrors
- Anything with nice textures
- Things that play music or make gentle noise (he still startles/cries at anything too loud)
I've found it an awkward age because he's bored by a lot of the stuff he has but overwhelmed by the next stage up.
