Baby sign language-when did you start?

sorry i dont like this at all i think its makes babies a little lazy in speech etc but thats my opinion , but hope you all have fun doing it x

https://www.tinytalk.co.uk/baby-signing-research.php

It's proven that it doesn't delay speech and when babies do start talking they often have a broader vocabulary and are able to build sentences faster than their non-signing peers :)

People havent noticed i did say it wasnt my thing and have a good time doing it !! stop digging i dont need to see any proof:shrug: . if i spent all my time reading up on everything i wouldnt get anything else done lol , opinions thats all:thumbup:

But someone considering baby signing might read your comment and decide against. Your opinion is a pretty common misconception, so I was just posting a link for other people's behalf.

And if you don't want to read new info and always assume your opinions are correct, you'll never learn anything. Not a criticism, just saying!

i dont think for one min anyone would read what ive put and not decide to do it we are not sheep , its just hard to have a opinion sometimes . and you can consume to much info sometimes on everything this is my second time round and i go with the flo , like i said its not my thing , good for you ! your turning this into something its not now. Because its not me you think i should read a link about it as my opinion is wrong .

I dont think im going to post on this forum anymore bacause i just keep getting digs on what i think but it seems everyone else is right majority rules on here and that not fair .

:( :(

Read the link or don't, it's no skin off my nose. I was just commenting that generally if you don't question your opinions sometimes, you miss out. Sorry if I upset you!

No need for that it makes it sound i dont care ! expierance thats what i have i will listen and read but i wont do something i dont like or agree with , im sure you are the same we are humans:growlmad:

I'll always read something as I like to learn. I think it's because I'm naturally nosey :haha:

I think what you posted got such a strong reaction from everyone because, your opinion or not, what you said wasn't true. The research shows that baby signing is beneficial for babies and their caregivers. It doesn't make them lazy with speech, it actually helps them develop faster. If it's not for you, that's fine. But your opinion on it is at odds with the facts.

If you don't want to read up on it, don't. But someone stumbling onto this thread might want to, so I posted it.

And I concede, perhaps the wording of my first post was a little off and came across rude. All I meant was that in questioning and reading and listening to others, we learn and our opinions might shift. If you never question, you never learn. And I personally don't ever want to stop learning, as it's what makes us human :)
