2 lbs 4 oz is in the 48th percentile (meaning, right smack in the middle!) at 27 weeks.

2 lbs 4 oz is in the 29th percentile (meaning, 28 babies are lighter than baby, 71 are heavier than him) at 28 weeks.

BUT, every baby grows differently!!! And I'm not looking at any scientific thing, just a website that helps you calculate percentiles. A baby is considered "normal" if they fall within 10 and 90 percentile.

My baby measured in the 95th percentile in height at anatomy scan. Ohhhh dear, lol.

I goto a specialist and they told me that ultrasounds are usually 1lb off. That could be 1lb smaller to 1lb bigger. Mine measured at 24 weeks 3lbs 6oz. I have my next scan for well ill b 29 weeks and 6 days next week so I can't wait to see what his weight is. Feels like he's 5 lbs already

At 28 weeks we were estimated at either 2lbs 2oz or 2.2lbs ... not sure! So it's either 2lbs 2oz or 2lbs 3oz =)

LOL. Yes. Just went for another growth scan today at 33 weeks and he is 5lbs9oz (85th percentile).

I grow big babies already, but I have gestational diabetes this time too....

I go back in 4 weeks (37 weeks) to check again.

Well at my "26week" scan my little one weighed 2lbs.4oz. and was in the 78th precentile...going back this Tuesday for my 30w3d appointment and will let you know how big he has grown lol

My 27+4 was born actual weight 2lb 13.5oz(that's on the larger size for her gestation)

at 29 weeks and 1 day my baby measured at 2 lbs 15 ounces which was in the 50th percentile (Average). However I only take these measurments as a guidline because really thats all they are.

With my first at 30 weeks they told me he was huge, already over 5 lbs and they suspected he would be about 8.5 lbs at birth. He came out a week late at only 6 lbs 13 ounces, I really doubt he only gained 1 lb and some odd ounces in 11 weeks time.

I'd say you are pretty much right on track :)

do you get lots of 'you're MASSIVE!' etc and people trying to insinuate it's because you are fat, because I have had 5 women do this - I make big babies too, lol - and I have had enough of it. I've actually lost weight this time round, and honestly don't look fat, so it's annoying having to contend with spiteful bitchy women...grrrr... rant over lol x

Actually, I get people that stare at me like I have a big bright sign on the top of my head that says "STARE AT ME"!

My belly is huge though. It doesn't really bother me.
