Baby's eye color

I'd say they're a blue/grey. my LO had the same eye colour when she was born, but at around 4 months she started to get brown speaks - eventually they turned fully brown. I was expecting it though, as FOB has brown eyes, I have blue - apparently every other colour overrules blue! so if you have blue eyes, and FOB has brown, they'll definitely go brown. I don't know how true that is though!

My friend has brown eyes and her son's father has blue eyes, and their 2.5 year old boy has blue eyes.

Yea i thought her response was a bit blunt, and I actually thought the same as you. I did a bit of research ave found that info. So much has changed from what I was taught in school

Update : she still has beautiful eyes so far at 7 months me and her dad has brown eyes but my granddad has green eyes so here is an updated pic at 7 months

Old thread and I said my LO's eyes hadn't changed at 17 months ... but now at 26 months they've definitely changed and they are more green than they are blue

What color is her eyes in the picture? Do you think she will keep them? Did anyone's child have these color eyes when they were born if so what color did they turn?

I would say gray.

It's hard to tell. My eyes were blue until they turned green when I went into puberty @ 14.

Wow it's fascinating to hear that your eyes can change colour so late! (16 one PP said!?) I heard the 1 year old rule and thought THAT was quite late! I've heard some people say 6 weeks!

My DD has my eyes (as in looks wise she takes after me in the eye area!) but I think they're turning brown. They were very dark blue when she was born and I thought they were gonna go lighter but looks like she takes after her daddy in the colour department! So she's gonna have my eyes but a different colour!

Me and my 2 brothers all have blue eyes and our mum has brown. And my sister has brown and her OH green and her little boys' are bright blue!

It's so strange because all of my other children's eyes turned brown quickly she's still holding on to her cute eyes but they are turning grey green so it might turn brown but it's taking its time i don't mind I will love her anyway I have lots of pics to look back on if her eyes do turn brown I will keep updating til she is old enough

I heard it would take two years to change.
My son was born with blue grey eyes. Kind of darker blue. I called them blueberry eyes lol. I started to see a tiny bit of tan around 5/6 months. Around one year they started getting green. And he had beautiful green eyes. But at 2 years old he started to get a lot of brown. So right now they are half brown half green like mine.

I have half brown half green. Hubby has brown
My mom is green dad is grey. Husbands dad is brown and mom a bluish hazel.

My daughter already has a few flecks of brown going on so I'm pretty sure she'll have brown eyes although she was born with the same blue Grey eyes.

Unbeknownst to me, my aunts eye color has changed lately too! In the last few years. She'll be 50 this year. She has blueish/green eyes now. Whereas she said they used to be a greenish brown.
So who knows!!!

DH and I both have brown eyes, both my parents have brown eyes and only one of DH's parents has blue eyes and yet our 3 year old daughter has bright blue eyes!

Our little boy just turned one and he has had really dark brown eyes since birth
