Babywearing question

Hi I wanted some advice please.

We had a Tomy baby carrier which was rubbish for us (fit me but not comfortable and didnt fit DH at all) and now DH wants to buy either an Ergo or a Baby Bjorn. However I want to try something less structured and wondered if you had any tips about what type are best for baby and for us - I know a friend of mine said she loved her Close baby carrier. They are all so expensive and I'm trying to get pros and cons from people who actually use them regularly rather than relying on review sites and buying something else that will just sit in a cupboard until its resold.

Anything - good or bad - appreciated
