Hi everyone

I found out a week ago that im 6 weeks pregnant and for the past 5 days ive had bad cramping and pains to my left and right side on and off throughout the day.. im very worried this is a sign of early miscarriage as i never had these sort of pains with my 2 other pregnancies
As anyone else had these sort of pains and are they normal??

I had really bad cramps between weeks 5-6 and thought the worst. Had an early US at 6+2 and everything looked fine! actually since then I have had just some mild cramping if I over do it. I think it's VERY normal as your body is adjusting to a new resident! Good luck!

Cramping and pain is normal in early pregnancy. I had the same at 5 wks 5 days and went to the hospital. I also has some light spotting along with my bad cramping. I was told everything was fine and that cramping is a normal part of pregnancy. I was told to be on the look out for any red bleeding and heavy cramping as those are some signs of mc. Everything will turn out fine for you. Good luck. And yes it is normal to be a little worried and concerned.

Thankyou so much for the comments, i feel alot better now i know other people are experiencing the same as me.. and thats its normal. Ive been so worried the past couple of days, feel alot better.

I had really bad cramping and heavy bleeding at 6 weeks. I was given a scan which showed I was having a normal pregnancy as well as an ectopic. Was very scary. However, I am now 16 weeks and having a healthy baby - Sometimes the bleeding and cramping are just something some people get in pregnancy.

I am sure that you are not miscarrying - especially as you have not mentioned bleeding.

If you are still worried, go to your GP who I am sure will refer you to the EPU at your nearest hospital.

xx
