hi  im from NI too. :) i cant imagine this would affect your baby but I'd keep ringing the mw til she gets back to you! failing that, can u speak to your GP? even just for reassurance?

Hello Nuke
You're the only N.I lady on here i've seen so far :flower:
The surgery closes at 5pm :nope:
So im gonna have to wait and see how i feel later!
Hubby is on way home frm work but has to go up to Cavan shortly after he gets in,think ive been driving him potty 2day with all my worry!!
I lost my last 2 babies and so far this is the longest ive stayed pregnant without a loss in 2yrs!! So hence my panic!
How far along are you?? Im now 16wks!!! Roll on July

I had a bug about a month ago. I called my dr and she reassured me there would be no harm to baby at all. She did say though that if I was throwing up for more than 24 hours that I would need to go to the hospital. Rest and make sure you can try and stay hydrated as best you can. Hope you get to feeling better!

I had a horrible stomach bug over christmas...lasted 2-3days. I was really worried too - as I was only 13 weeks at the time.
Found out though - that there is NO risk to baby...unless you become severely dehydrated! Which in your case it's good that you can keep water down...try drinking some gatorade which is an electrolyte booster...replenishes your body!
A stomach bug just affects the gastrointestinal track not anything to do with baby. Only the stomach. HUGS!!!
But if you are still worries- call your mw for reassurance:)

I had a bug last week and baby still doing fine. Had a scheduled u/s the next day and so that eased my mind to know I wouldn't have to worry so long. They assured me that they baby can handle it :)

I had a 4 day bug and it was miserable. The baby is getting all it needs the only one suffering is you. So I wouldn't stress. Just make sure to stay hydrated. maybe add a little bit of sports drink to your water to boost your electrolytes. Hang in there. I know it sucks!!! Regardless of how often you go to the loo keep drinking. You need a sip every 10 minutes. Hope it ends soon!:hugs:

I had a tummy bug the other week and quite a serious one at that as did the rest of my family, asked the Doctor and he said it shouldn't affect LO, as long as you're keeping hydrated you should be fine. Hope you feel better soon! :flower:
