Bank account at the end of the month

Typically around 20-30 euros sometimes less, rarely more. I always keep 50 euros in cash in the cupboard in case of an emergency at the end of the month.

We used to always live in the overdraft (its only £500 so pay would clear it, but we would end up back in it at the end of the month). I would put a small amount in savings each month, especially the months leading to maternity as will obviously get screwed over the next few months!

We are lucky in that hubby just had a small amount of money from his grandfathers will so we have used that to pay off the overdraft and saved the rest for a rainy day.

When i was working full time we would probably bring home maybe £4k a month and still lived paycheck to pay check!

We are always well into our overdrafts. Never have spare cash.

Before baby we were saving over £600 a month, and we had lots of spending money...now in only 10month i have completly rinsed our savings and havent had any spare cash.

deff need to get savy on the money front for we get preg next.

Hmm we never have much left over but we never scrimp by. After bills we have atleast 1200 left over, we just spend alot :dohh: My new years resolution is to start saving atleast 500 of that a month towards when we move. x

Forgot to add, it's just hubby who works. We're army so our housing is cheap and we don't have council tax, tv licence etc. We're gonna be in for a huge shock when we move and have alot more bills to pay for, thats why we NEED to start saving.

x

i sat down & worked out all my incomings & outgoings... i have £5 spare pcm after all my outgoings. this is just BASIC living, doesnt include taking LO to soft play, swimming etc... :(

I normally have about £100 in my bank after bills. OH gets paid cash, so thats our spending money x

we have nothing left and are in our overdraft but if we stopped spending so much we would we eat good food, have days out and go out for food. even when hubby gets pay rise we still seem to spend it each month we r useless

Hmm, I get my student finance every four months but we never fall short, comfortable at least. My childcare is paid, I get grants which cover accommodation and then more for other things so were actually very comfortable which I didn't expect x

DH and i used to put bout £500 away each month in our savings when we were both working after bills etc and we were both doing 40 hours each...

Now im a SAHM we live paycheck to paycheck, we'll be even lucky to put £100 away each month... sometimes we do use the overdraft until DH gets paid... hopefully this will change next year as DH's workplace doesnt pay him much as we're already struggling and have another on the way
