Hey ladies I have tried to track my BBT for many months and I just kinda suck at it. I am really trying this month though. I have my period and started testing on that day, but it has been all over 96.96, 97.27,97.05,97.52.. is this normal. I try not to move a lot but I tend to be a person that wakes up and tosses a little and falls back asleep. Probably do this about 15 minutes before I actually wake up. Hopefully that is not messing it up

I dont think your temp jumps are HUGE...they're a little big, but I've seen worse. My first question would be if you are temping at the same time every day. That's important. Also might you sleep with your mouth open? Some people who get erratic temps choose to temp vaginally instead of orally because their results seem to be more accurate and balanced. Just a thought.

During your period, your bbt may be erratic. I know mine is!

Also bbt is all contributed by temperature of your room, is it cold outside, did you talk in your sleep, sleeping with mouth open, getting up in the night or even a developing illness (cold etc).

What I tend to do is set my alarm for 6am (which lives under my pillow). I sleepily wake up, move one arm to grab my already organised and placed thermometer next to me and stick it under my tongue. I often fall back to sleep again haha. The thermometer saves my last recorded temp so I don't miss it. More often than not I don't get up right away. For example, tomorrow I have no work but 6am I will wake up to temp, then go back to sleep, then awake at 9am to get up.

Xxx

I usually do it at seven every morning because that is when i get up for work. So I will make sure to do that this weekend

Use an app like fertility friend, and it's easier to see a pattern. When you get a large jump, that means that ovulation has occurred. If you look at our charts in our signature, you can kind of see what your chart will look like as well (although the length and temperatures may vary). Everyone is different.

Like the other said, as soon as your alarm goes off, take your temperature, and then you can go back to sleep. That's what I do on weekends. Just a warning...it can get addicting! Best of luck, and sending ton of :dust: your way!
