I am due to visit my GP and I think they will refer me for treatment. Given that treatment will involve lots of appointments etc. I am considering getting my GP to refer me to a clinic near my work 200miles away rather than at home.

Would I be treated the same as I would be if I was treated at home?

I am not sure whether the rules in Scotland are the same than England, but in England, with Choice, you can ask to be refered to any NHS, or NHS approved independent provider anywhere in the country. Would your referal involve cross-border? If it does, that might be more of a problem. The best thing to do is to discuss it with your GP.
Good luck :hugs:

Yes my refer would involve cross border, I guess you are right I can only wait and discuss it with my GP.
