When did your older kids start to know that there is no Santa?

I was 12 when I stopped believing, but, my goodness, kids know younger now. I've a feeling it's not going to be too many more years with my older kids.

Especially when this happened.

Last Christmas I took a poster's advice and wrapped all of one kid's gifts with only one type of paper and all next kid's gifts with a different type. This way I didn't have to label them all.

Well, Amanda saw the wrapping paper and kept saying "Are you sure there is a Santa?" "Why is the same wrapping paper in the room upstairs?" :dohh: This went on for a few months.

About 8 , only reason being was i had a gymnastics show to do for an x-mas show and i got caught down with chiken pox i was devasted as santa was going to be there to watch  , my mums freind came around and started spraying white spray on his long bread then started putting santa clothes on , i was really confused ( i was suposed to be locked in my room at the time) anyway i asked mum and she couldnt keep making up excuses to just told me!

But i remember getting told off because i ran around the whole nieghbourhood telling all the small children  Tears i every household and loads of angry parents!

I think I stopped around 10-11. But that was only because my sister had messed up the presents, gotten me one thing from Santa and another that was an accessory from her. I questioned her for a week as to how she knew what Santa was getting me before she broke down and told me  My mom was not pleased

I stopped believing at 6:cry: because my evil cousin told me!! Killjoy! I'd be quite dissapointed if my children stopped believing at that age.

I dont really remeber how old i was i think i was about 10 not long after my sister was born, there wasnt anything really that made me stop i think it was just mostly all the other kids at school saying there was no santa ect but its not true!!! there IS a santa there has to be hahaha i still dont want too really belive it!!!

I was 8 or 9 and a church newsletter told me! It said something like '..when you discover santa is make believe' and was so shocked :(

I was about 5 when santa never came bcos my mum was so pissed she forgot so made up we had been naughty and santa had left them in her room until i behaved

Jake at 13 last yr just plays along but doesnt believe ...katie half believes at 9

not quite sure how old i was. BUT i do remember at about 6/7 asking why "santa had the same handwriting as my dad?" (i used to leave him a note with the mice pie etc AND would get a reply!) my mums answer was " he used daddy's pen!" i was ok with this.

I stopped beleiving at 11. We were walking past santas grotto in the town and i asked to go and see him and thats when my dad told me
xx

lol I didnt even really believed at 7 years old. still liked the stories tho xD
oh yeah and of course we learnt about the historical nicolaus in school to so there youa re :P

i cant remember my exact age i think it was 10-11 and i wrote him a letter and hid it from my parents and when he didnt reply i know they were lying to me. I then told my younger sisters and cousins!

I think I was about 10, but I had to pretend until I was 14 because of my little sister who is 4 years younger than me. Christmas was never the same again once I stopped believing :(

I stopped in grade 5, whatever age that is! 10 or 11 I think. My younger sister actually told me Santa wasn't real. I never snooped for presents etc when I was younger, but she did, and I guess she found gifts that were later labelled "from Santa" lol.

It's sad, I don't think my baby is going to make it believing until 10/11 ??

hah ours weren't labelled' from santa ' anyway xD

not sure as to exactly what age but i remember one night my mum came into my room and tryied to wake me to ask me where i had put my grans present after i had hid it for santa to take to my gran lol i think i was 9 or 10

i protended to still be asleep and proceded to ignor her lol
