Bella....I love this but it is so popular! What to do....?

Re the LL surname : Our surname ends in LL and our elder dd is Gabriella. I went with that rather than Gabrielle simply because I thought it scanned better with the LL.
She was going to be shortened to Bella or Ella. but my son had his own ideas and she ended up as Gabby
I like Elizabella though

Thanks for your insight into the last name issue, I agree that the ella ending goes better with the double L in the last name! I am excited to see that several of you all liked the name Elizabella, bc elizabeth is my mn and a family name (gma & second cousin) which I like. That doesn't sound too "made up" does it? I haven't pitched it to DH yet but I will let you guys know what he thinks! I really appreciate all of your input, it helps so much to have other ladies to bounce ideas off of!

In my opinion, whatever you want, you should do. Do not mind that it's popular or special. The name "Bella" is not only nice, lovely but also meaningful as well. That the reason why many people named as "Bella".

We are having Isabella Grace if we have a girl... I know its one of the popular names at the moment, but we love it. Also we dont know anyone with that name and none of our friends are close to having babies yet.

I love the name Bella but if I was to have another girl I wouldn't be able to use it (Ella and Bella )
I like Isabella and Arabella. Grace as a middle name would be lovely with both.

@ miss cakes: I like Marabella, but have a very good friend with a 2 year old DD named Mariella, which seems too similar for me

@Kirsty90: I love the way you spelled "Elayna" it is very pretty. I have thought abut using Grace as a mn, since that is the mn we gave to our angel baby. Maybe that would be nice.

Still working on DH, he is not sure about Elizabella. He asked "why not just Bella?" and I tried to explain that I thought she needed a proper full first name.

Any other thoughts or ideas about this?? I really have enjoyed gettng everyone's in put!

I like Arabella and Sabella. In my opinion it doesn't seem like the 'I' had been missed off and I prefer it to Isabella x
