I need a few questions answering and advise if possible
We finally moved into a house together in November we lived at another property before but that was just my name as he would stay at his mums now and again..
But anyway things have really hit the fan I won't go into it all .. but I need to know what happens with benefits .. I did get child tax but I had to reclaim jointly and still waiting for that to come back with a answer etc ..we jointly applied for housing benefit too seen as he lost his job just after we moved here and basically it financial made us struggle.. but what happens or what do I do if it's gone from together to seperated? Do I have to 're claim again singly and wait again or would I just contact them and explain?
The problem being I wouldn't be able to afford bills and rent when I literally get child benefit and that's it right now
I'm owed back pay still which I'm entitled to but I'm worried that is all .. I can't go no where else and my sons in school here so he's the last person I'd want to upset etc..
I just need advise if anyone's been in a simler situation or knows friends who have etc.
