Hello,
This is a slightly obscure/specific question but I thought it was worth a try!
I'm on teacher training at the moment (employment based) and will have qualified by the time LO is due. (August.) Cause I have been with my employer long enough I will be due SMP etc, but I am on a fixed term contract that ends at the end of August...does anyone know if I still get this?!
To add another confusion to the mix, my husband isn't working at the moment as he becomes a full time student at the end of January...also doing his teacher training. However his is a uni course, not emplyment so he has no income. He will get a bursary from the government as it is a shortage subject.
I know that we will get a council tax discount because there will be a student living in the house, but doesn anyone know what else is available in this scenario? As the only 'worker' in the household when I'm off with LO will be a full time student, can we claim anything?!
If anyone could suggest somewhere to look/talk to that'd be great, entitledto can't help cause they don't deal with student stuff, and it is all a little confusing!!
Thanks all. x
