Benefits when you dont work.

My company are talking about laying people off, ive worked here 8 years and clearly cant help but worry.

So was just wondering what benefits you get and how much for a single parent and for each child.

I think you would either be entitled to Jobseekers allowance or income support although im not sure how much but i think you can find out on the job centre plus website. And then also child tax credits which for my one child is around £60 a week so more children you have the more you would get.
