Are some better than others?

So far ive used MAM, Avent and now trying out Dr Browns.

I think hes slightly better on MAM than Avent but still trialing Dr Browns so will see.

Which bottles do you use for your reflux baby? Does it make a difference?

i used tomme tippee first but teats kept collapsing. i changed to avent and really struggled getting the right teat with them when adding carobel. 3 was to slow and variflow drowned him. ive just changed to dr browns y flow now and he feeds so much better. not sure if theyre helping his reflux but have helped his wind. he takes more milk from them too :) x

My DD who's now 3 had severe reflux for 7 months. We switched from avent to dr browns (at the time I had never heard of mam bottles) and I suppose dr brown made a very slight difference but she still puked before, during, after and up to every feed. TBH I think they are more for colic and wind but will not do much for reflux.

defo MAM...... tk maxx is doing them cheap at the mo!

I've been struggling for weeks swapping bottles its really getting me down, I started on TT normal easyvent bottles then went to Avent which she took for 4 wks then to MAM which were great...for 2days lol. I found Dr Browns took absolutely ages to feed & made no difference, I bought TT anti-colic today as thats the last resort for her really. look forward to seeing some more replies so i might get some advice too x

Did it keep getting clogged up? I used MAM from when he was born, went on to Avent and now Dr Browns. I have to say Dr Browns have been the best so far. Ive put him down to 6oz as noticed he brings about half an oz up.

Im currently using SMA Staydown, Dr Browns bottles and feeding him 6oz and so far no sick whatsoever which is great as he's usually bringing milk back up all day.

Yesterday i filled the Dr Browns with kettle water. Put the tops on and it all came spewing out. Was so p***ed off. Felt like throwing them all away lol. Now i wait for the water to cool before putting in the vents and the tops on. Common sense really :dohh:

i've used the tommee tippe anti colic ones with my 1st baby and they worked well until the valve at the bottom splits and then they are as good as a chocolate toasting fork and you have to replace the whole bottle, they dont do the replacement part.

With my 2nd who has silent reflux, we are using dr browns and i cannot fault them other than its a pain not being able to shake them too much and obviously like with any anti colic bottle, they have a lot of extra parts to clean. I'd never look back though!

I think there great. I mix his milk with a weaning spoon. You cant shake SMA Staydown anyway x

Dr Browns for us (with size 3 teat with AR/stay down formula) & I also use a baby feeding spoon for mixing. We tried TT CTN anti-colic & Avent but they didnt help with his reflux.

We used NUK to begin with. Then we had to change as the next sized teat was just TOO HUGE!

Then we tried Mam, TT and Avent. We settled on TT. It was so stressful!!!!

Next time if i have a another reflux baby i will try the Doctor Browns.
