Best Time Of The Day TTC

Hi Girls,

Best Time Of The Day To Concieve??

Just been reading a few of the threads in Cycle Buddies and TTC and got to wondering, have any ideas been posted on when the best time is to try and concieve?

What are your thoughts?

Is morning better than night or the other way around??

Is there any science in it,
or would evening normally end up being better just because you can stay lying down for longer instead of rushing off to work or
is it worth waking up an hour earlier in the morning?

Please share your thoughts.

A few thoughts I have read:

One
Research has suggested that the best time of day to make love if you are looking to conceive is actually in the morning - rather than in the evening after an exhausting day at work!

The reason for this is apparently that at this time of day the hormone levels in the man are highest as is the sperm count - therefore this will increase the chance of conception successfully occurring as desired.

Two
Time of day is not the most important thing. As long as it's in the fertile window, it will be fine.
However, if you notice that there is a time of day where both partners have higher sex drive (usually at night) that is relevant, because good orgasms for both people can really help your chances. (results in a higher sperm count for the man, and opens the cervix for the sperm in the woman.)

Another issue to determine time of day is, what time of day the woman can stay laying down for a while after sex. Her hips should be elevated for a half hour after sex, to help the sperm get to their destination.

We usually do it before we go to bed, but thats at like 2 am (we stay up really late)
