Erm excuse the bluntness but it's your choice and not your Dr's....I'm afraid Dr's don't know everything. The decision is yours to make and nobody elses, especially if there's nothing wrong with your baby.

Tell the Dr you intend on breastfeeding for X amount of time and won't be stopping any sooner....I've never heared such a silly suggestion

I wont dismiss it as silly until I've fully heard the reasons why. I know I can say no. The doc just said she'd like to see it happen.
WHO says there are definite health benefits for exclusively breastfeeding up to 6 months and that there MAY be more for up to 2 years but it's not for sure.
He's had super juice so far, he's had a great start. I'll update you all next month after I've re-spoken with the doc.
