bfp after hsg?

I had my HSG on 9/12 and am 2dpo now. I was just curious to see if its true that you are more fertile after a HSG and how many ladies got their BFP after having the procedure.

My HSG showed that I have a retroverted uterus, but both tubes were clear and open. However it did take longer for the dye to get through the right tube than it did the left. Any thoughts on that?

Hi Brittany,

I'm a success story from the HSG! I conceived my first child within a month. However, I was coming up to the 17th month of trying for my 2nd and nothing was happening. Anyway, I had my HSG in May and everything was clear. Six days later I got my AF. It was the last time I ever saw her

I believe the HSG cleared up any cobwebs that were lurking there which cleared the way for the little spermy and egg I also have a retroverted uterus, which doesn't make a difference.

Makes me feel so much better. What was your cycle like after hsg. Like was ovulation early late on time? What kind if symptoms did you notice and was it from conceiving you think? Im 3dpo and I ovulated early cd13 which could still be from the clomid even though I didnt take it this cycle. Ive also just been feeling odd pinches and pains in both ovaries and im wondering if its just me being more sensitive since the hsg..

I noticed my ovulation was a few days earlier than normal and it was incredibly strong. The OPK test line was ALOT darker than the control line. I didn't get a chance to see what my cycle was like because I got my BFP soon after.
I didn't notice many symptoms during the 2ww as I thought because I'd already seen an AF after the HSG, it hadnt worked so I kind of gave up. The only thing I did notice was I had an increase in sex drive, implantation bleeding and cramps on the day I was expecting AF
I have heard of people feeling tugs and pulling on different sides though. Definitely wait another few days and take a test.

Another hsg success here too..hsg done April/28, May 14th, bfp June 17th (3-4 weeks preg!) My tubes were all clear too, but I strongly believe it helped.

With my first We got pregnant the same month I had my hsg testing done. I ovualted normal. It was our 19th month trying and no other issues with hormones or sperm. This baby I actually got pregnant our second month trying no testing or anything. It was a complete shock since our first took so long!

Hi Brittany. Another hsg success story. I got my hsg in May of this year and never got af because i got a positive test! I'm now 17 weeks pregnant. I have a retroverted uterus and my tubes were clear also.

They do say you're more fertile and your chances go up. I don't know if mine helped - I had to have 2. The first "normal" HSG didn't clear them fully so I had to have a 2nd when they did all my other surgeries in Dec of last year, I had the in-depth HSG where they take the teeny tiny micro brush and clear the tubes. I got pregnant in June, they say the 9 months after your HSG are your best chance.

I'm a believer that it helps - definitely!!!

hey hun i believe i got success from having a hsg and a lap. I had one done oct 2012, got pg in feb but sadly lost our angel at 5 weeks. got pg again in may. we tried for 19months and turns out i was only born with one tube and one working ovary. good luck for this month

Hi Brittany,

I also got my BFP after HSG. After 8 months of trying, had my HSG in March. We took a break from trying in April bc I didn't want another Xmas baby in the family. LMP was 4-23-13 and I had implantation bleeding about CD 15, which I thought was my usual spotting come early before AF. However, AF never arrived & I'm due in January.

The nurse who assisted my HSG told me lots of ladies fall pregnant soon afterward, including the receptionist at their radiology unit.

Hey Jenny,

I guess by following another thread on HSG baby, your HSG reported u having retroverted uterus and later that month I suppose you had a BFP.. that's so inspiring as I'm also on the same boat!... have my HSG on Oct 1st.... So nervous abt it!!

I was just curious to know how ur HSG went?...
Did you know anything extra/new for getting a BFP that month?
