BFP and BFN Same Day?

I am CD 30 of a 30-32 day cycle (it varies slightly).

I did a FRER test yesterday and the day before, both BFN's. I then did a Superdrug test today. Not first morning urine, about 1pm, but after I had been out since 8.30am and not drank much or been to the toilet at all. I was pretty sure there was a faint line right after doing it, waited about 4 mins, but I am a little obsessed with testing and wasn't sure if it was wishful thinking, so put it down to a possible and thought I'd test again tomorrow. I then looked at the test at around 10 mins after I had first done it (not sure if it was less or more than 10 mins, but around then) and there was a more definite, pinkish BFP. It was enough of a line fo rme to take a photo on my phone and send it to my sister, she agreed it was a BFP.

Anyway, I got all excited and bought a clear blue digital to confirm and got a BFN. However, I had hada couple of drinks and wees before that and hadn't been to the toilet all that long before I did it. (maybe a couple of hours before, maximum)

I don't want to get my hopes up, but I wonder if the superdrug test was more sensitive (10ml's) and I would have had a greater concentration of HCG in my urine, hence the BFP? I do feel sicky and felt sick and actually vomited yesterday. Plus, I don't like chinese rice crackers at all, but craved them during morning sickness in my last pregnancy. I fancied them yesterday and ate half a packet.

thats defo bfp, them digis arent as sentive, do one few days after ur af latexx

Hey hun, I am the expert at having positive pregnancies with an extremely feint line and I would say deinitely Many women can have low hcg levels to start which will cause a feint line. Its highly unlikely you will have a false positive. Unfortunately for me they have never stuck and I am still waiting for #1.

Good luck! Get a blood hcg to confirm.

I have always read the digi's aren't as sensitive.

Thanks. I'm a bit worried in case it is an evap line. Can these show up after about ten minutes? (I worry as another thread says superdrug tests can show pinkish evaps, but it does say after about 24 hours)

I will do another test in the morning.

Do another test in the morning but that looks like a very nice BFP to Me!!!
Digital Tests are not as sensitive as 10 ml's at all. Also if your urine was more diluted that would be another big reason it showed up BFN.
Let us know when you test in the morning!

Did another superdrug test on Saturday morning and a CBD today. Both BFN's, so it seems I am out. No AF yet though, but suspect it is coming...

Maybe next month will be my month... I hope so as that will be our last month of trying as my husband is posted to Afghan in October 2011 and because of the serious complications in my previous pregnancy we don't want me to be pregnant while he is away and there's a chance the dates could be moved forward. I really wanted to have our baby before he went.

Our twin girls were due today too, which makes it all the worse timing.
