:hi: Just wanted to share my good news. I got my :bfp: this morning. I am so happy :yipee: but also a little shocked as I really wasn't expecting to get pregnant so soon!! DH and I are both on :cloud9:

I tested with a clear blue original and there was a big fat plus sign there :happydance: (I'd upload the pic but don't have a clue how to do that!!)

Does anyone know if there is any chance of it being a false positive? I'm nervous about getting my hopes up in case the test was wrong!!

I think I'll test again in the morning, just to be sure, and then I guess I should go see my GP.

If anyone has any advice to share it'd be much appreciated!!

xx

fantastic news, did you have any symptons? how long you been trying?

CONGRATS!!!! :happydance:

When I got my BFP 13yrs ago I went to the Drs to ask them to check that it was right and he told me that there was no point - the tests they use are as effective as the ones you buy over the counter!

YAY!!! Well done!!!

Big fat line says it all ;)

Congrats
:wohoo:

You just need to contact your GP to arrange the MW appointments etc for in near future, sit back & hope you get no morning sickness

Congratulations! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xXx

Congratulations on the BFP! How fantastic. My doc told me that tests don't give false positives. You can only get false negatives. Have a great 9 months.

Yaaaay congratulations!! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months! :hugs:

Grats on your :bfp: !!!! How long TTC did it take you? Have a healthy And smooth 9 months! :D

Congratulations! Wonderful news. The chances of you getting a false positive are pretty much non-existent. Go ahead and make an appointment with your GP, they probably won't do much but take your history and maybe do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy but it's best to go ahead and get in!

Thanks everyone - you've really helped put my mind at rest!! I can now focus on being overjoyed, which I totally am :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

Thanks Wobbles for the advice - I'll get in contact with the MW and pray the symptoms don't catch up with me!!

LoopyLew - I haven't really had any symptoms as such - no implantation bleeding or anything. I was due on last Thursday so that was the first BIG clue. I've had a few spots on my face for the last couple of weeks, which is unusual and I was a bit crampy before I was due on which I thought was a sign the witch was on the way.

I managed to hold off testing for a couple of days as I really didn't think I'd get pregnant so quickly. I came off the pill last November, but we didn't actually TTC until this month, which is why I am so shocked really. I had prepared both myself and DH for it to take months!! :wohoo:

xx

Congratulations Bluebell!! I got mine today too :)

I used the clear blue tests like you i had two so used them both one this morning and one this evening and both positive

I hope everything goes well with you :hugs:

Congratulations Spartacus - that's fantastic news!! :happydance:

I'm guessing we're going through the same range of emotions right now - I'm excited, overjoyed, nervous and full of disbelief. :yipee:

I might follow your lead and take another HPT just to be sure!!

I hope it goes well for you too!! :hugs:

xx

Congratulations!!

Well the first thing I did when I was pregnant was have an egg sandwich and talk to my sister for ages on the phone. The better thing to do would probably be what everyone else says though and arrange to see a MW. I don't think you have to see a doc first. Lots of surgeries will just give you a booking in appointment with the MW or you could just see a nurse to start with.
