Hi
I take my babys bib off at night (as i dont mind a little sick on his pjs) but when he goes down during the day (he is 4 weeks 4 days) i leave it on as i dont want sick on his outfit. They are velcro or popper bibs. Is it safe to leave them on??
Thanks
X

I wouldn't leave a bib on for the same reasons I always tucked LO's blankets in the bottom of his moses basket - if he ends up with it over his mouth/nose I can see it being unsafe and also because it could end up being too tight round baby's neck if they end up holding it/lying on it or whatever. I spose if you're in the room keeping an eye on LO then it could be ok sometimes (although I really wouldn't), definitely not meant to leave them unsupervised with bibs on whether they're asleep or awake x

Lucas used to projectile vomit and has cut some teeth so the drool has been insane, but he's a baby. It's kinda what they do lol. I can only think of 1 time where I put a bib on him before weaning, we just always had a muslin square on standby lol x

I try to make sure I take Abby's bib off if she is due a nap but if I haven't and she falls asleep I tend to leave it if it's a Velcro one or if she is sleeping on me. If it's a popper one and I'm putting her down I take it off.

My LO tends to wear her while napping, but she rarely napes in her crib. She normally naps in her swing or on one of us, so we keep an eye on her the whole time. She wears a bib because of her insane amount of drooling!

I always took off the bibs. I never minded if he got a bit of sick on his outfit.

Actually I never minded a bit of his baby sick on my outfit either! That's what babies do! X

My LO doesn't wear bibs, but if he did i'd take them off when sleeping regardless of whether it was day or night. I use muslin instead, works for us!

Although maybe when he starts drooling i'll have to start putting bibs on him :) x
