Do you think its ok to use an exercise bike during pregnancy?

Mines just sat there doing nothing and i can really feel the weight piling up around my lower back/top bum and hips, i dont like it atall.

I cant see what harm it would do if i go easy, what you think?

I think that its a low impact form of excercising and should be ok if you dont over do it. But I would check with your Dr. just to be safe.

I carried on at Gym when PG with Jack and used the bikes, i think if you take it real steady you should be fine hun

If I had one I would use it probably not to the extent if not pg but light excercise etc is said to be good so I can't see the difference :D x

id speak to a doc maybe an see how much is too much, or maybe pop into a gym and ask a trainer? just to make sure you werent over-doing it :D

yeah Jase wants to to check with a midwife too.

i think it would be ok as long as i know when to stop, i have got a real obession with my weight this time round, never bothered me atall on any of the others. i really want to keep an eye on it this time coz i know i have to work really hard to get back down to the size i was before i had Coby.

I have worked out that after this baby is born, if i can lose on avarage 2lbs a week (i think thats a realistic weight lose each week?) then it will take me 7 months to get back down to what i was, thats without excersie, so with that im hoping it wont take as long, and thats also providing i dont put on anymore than a stone for the rest of this pregnancy....we shall see lol

this time next year i want to be a complelty diffrent person, back in to a nice size 16, long blonde hair, heals! i havent worn heals for ages now lol make up etc, sounds really superfical(sp?) but i know it will help me to feel better about myself if i look like i ignain myself to be.

does that make sense?

yea hun it does, tho dont over do it, as wont be good for you or baby ;)

i keep sayin im gonna do this or tha, but im just so lazy

yeah untill the baby is born i will be taking it easy, but after he is here then its all systems go (well after 6 weeks anyway lol)

College takes over my swim nights now (tuesday and Thrusday) so i really feel i need to make that up with something else, plus my ex bike is free lol

yeah i wish i was awake enough to exersize!!!! im too tired and lazy and bloated! lol

i was planning on starting teh bike today, 30 mins a day, but i have woke up in pain this morning all round teh bottom of my bump, think i must of slept funny so i dont think i should do it today.

Thats not an excuse honest lol

I say good for you.......I have been having a much harder time letting go of my body this time around as well, and it is sooooooo early yet for me to freak out over it!! :cry:I bicycle a couple of times a week, and actually feel energized after taking a ride, you'll be suprised at how good you'll feel afterwords......just take it slow to start. I just purchased an elliptcal runner.........my OB suggested it because it is low impact, yet still a great workout.....I LOVE it!! Good luck with your workout!

Kellie:headspin:
