birth control question

I got on birth control 1 month ago to help regulate my period. My husband and I decided we want to try for our 2nd baby. I am on the lowest dosage possible and figured it would be okay to try. I am not taking it anymore, but am I supposed to wait 1 month to get it out of my system or can I just keep trying. I only took it for a month

Some doctors may recommend it but you don't really have to. It takes a lot of birth control over a prolonged period to have any possible effect on a baby and even then it's not proven, just not recommended. The only thing birth control can affect is your cycle when you come off of it (I didn't have a period for 2 years after stopping the pill). But my doctor told me I was good to go when I got off of it, I started trying the day of lol.
