Hi ladies, our little boy was born yesterday 12/16/2010 at 250 pm central american time. He weighed 8lbs and 7oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. According to my dates he was born 2 weeks early.
we went in to be induced with pitocin cuz doc was worried about his size. They started pit at 6 am, by 1pm I had not dilated any at all from the previous day despite being a steady 3 mins apart and strong. Doc informed me that he could very clearly feel the scar tissue from the cone biopsy I had 6 years ago. It was thick and extensive to the point that it would not allow my cervix to dilate. Imagine my disappointment to learn the only way baby was coming out was via c-section. I did 7 hours of labor on pitocin with no pain meds only to be told I would be getting a section.
Off to the operating room I went, hubby too. Rylan Tyce Blacketer was born at 250 pm weighing in at 8lbs 7oz, 20 1/2 inches long, and his head was 13 inches in diameter. Doc said that he looked at my cervix from the inside and the scar tissue had stopped me from dilating any further than the end of a pinky finger and that Rylan would never have come out on his own due to it.
Here are some pics. enjoy
