Birth story: very unexpected home birth!

Cant believe I am finally writing this. At 4 days over at midnight on 14 aug my waters broke in bed, got up and more and more just kept coming, I could see what I thought was maconium so phoned up and they told me to go in, it was very busy and woman in labour in the waiting room, I was in no pain at this point. I got seen and all was ok, I was 1 cm dilated but cervix high and babies head high, was not in labour so sent home and booked an appointment for the next day to be induced. Got home at 3am and started with some cramps got in the bath about 1 hr later and was just breathing through them, then it all went bit mad, all of a sudden I needed I needed to push, I pushed a couple of times and could not stop it, I shouted my partner to ring an ambulance as they got here they got me out the bath and the head was coming, got onto the bed and popped Oscar with a nice cry. I went in to hospital to deliver the after birth and to get us both checked over, all is fine and we came home last night. So it 2 hours compared to my last one that was 44 hrs! Oscar was 8lb 10oz and is gorgeous. Good luck to everyone and thanks for all support. X

Huge congrats + well done but oh my ......this is my biggest fear , mine hapenn real quick too ....last one recorded as 2 hrs !

Thanks every one. It was a bit scary but paramedics were brilliant. I just couldn't believe it was happening so quick, had no time to think, lol! Xx
