Black to christening

Do you think it's ok to wear black to a christening (in September). As in black dress, black tights and shoes?

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing black but I personally wouldnt wear it head to toe as id feel like I was going to a funeral x

i recently went to a funeral and there were people just wearing black

Black isn't normally associated with Weddings and Christenings, but you could be different and break convention... However I would consider the shoes and tights, I would dress up a black dress with a brightly coloured corsage, jacket or handbag and shoes, so no I dont see anything wrong with it.

Just tried it with a red cardigan, think I'd be happier with some colour! Thanks ladies x
