When you hear the name "Blake" do you think of a boy or girl? I still don't have a name for my baby boy :/ Been throwing around the idea of Blake, haven't told anyone .... Well my BFF is prego too and she tells me if she was having a girl she loves the name Blake!(she's having a boy though) That definitely put a damper on my name !! Lol now I just don't know .....

Blake sounds very boyish to me! Although it could be a nice female name as well; I have always thought it to be too masculine

I think it's just a good unisex name. It has become more popular for a girl since Blake Lively hit the media.

I would first think of blake as a name for a boy!

I typically think boy. I went to school with a boy Blake.

I think boy instantly, but as someone mentioned, Blake lively makes it a possibility for a girls name too!

Thanks for all the input !! The hub n I actually agreed on this name, very rare occasion.... If he ever knew it was considered a girls name too he'd be out lol..... Thought I'd verify with you ladies instead !

Unisex for me too.
But I'm naming my daughter Ezra and most people would shun me bc they swear it's all male in origin- (Primarily male, female in various parts of the world including Persia)...

So, what do I know! :)

I think boy as there is a Blake in my son's class. Lovely name btw.x

To me it's very much a boys name, and I really like it :)
