this is the only thing im worrying about at the mo, how bad do you bleed and approx how long for?

it depends on many factors... its not like gushs hun lol... you have to remember its a scar from where your placenta was attached... so expect dark clotted blood for first few days it will then end up going more of a brown colour and get a little lighter... till the point it is a bright pinky red in colour as the wound starts to heal... obvs if you start over doing it its going to irratate the healing process and youl bleed more... so just take it easy :)

I had a c-section and hardly bled at all. Stopped bleeding completely after a week x

i had 2 sections and i bled for exactly 6 weeks with both. wasnt too heavy - i wasnt flooding or anything.

I bled for 2 weeks and then just had spotting.
Lyrik is 7 weeks old and I am 100% dont bleeding.

i had aiden 9 days ago, and im still bleeding. it's just like a period, not heavy. it is a bit heavier after a feed. supposedly breastfeeding makes the bleeding last a bit longer xx

I'm still bleeding nearly 8 weeks on but it's just like a period but without the pains for me. I think it's different for everyone.

It's been nearly 3 weeks since my c section and I'm still bleeding. It's like a period but no cramping or anything.

Breastfeeding actually should make you bleed less. It causes your uterus to contract and speeds up clotting.

I think it's different for everyone really.
Most people say it is very similar to a period.

mine barely lasted three days and ive had heavier periods tbh
and i had a natural birth

I bleed for about four weeks and then for a few weeks after I'd get a day where I might bleed - my body telling me to slow down I think!

As others have said its not that different from having a period, and it really isn't as bad as it sounds.

I think after the first day or two it's just like a period without the menstrual cramps. I was a bit worried too, was thinking I was going to leak in everything, but everyone who has had a baby tells me it's not like that. They suggested really big overnight-like pads for the hospital, then go to super-absorbent ones for when you're home and then after maybe a week you go to your normal pads until you've stopped bleeding.
