We are taking the sides off our daughters cot tomorrow as we had a slight incident with my monkey daughter climbing out.

Problem we have 3 gates in our house, one needed to block off the step to the kitchen, one the bottom of the stairs and one at the top. We need the one at the top and it is screwed in. But indie likes to jump up on our bed , and our room is un baby proofable.

We would like to be able to somehow block off our bedroom while we are downstairs so if she gets out of bed she cant get in there. And dont want another gate.

Is there something you can put on a door handle without screwing a lock onto the wall? There might not be anything but any suggestion would be helpful.

Sorry if i've mumbled on.... I'm tired :haha:

It depends on the handle but if it's a knob you should be able to find something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Kidco-Door-Knob-Lock-Clear/dp/B0010CD2IO/

There is also something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Door-Monkey-Childproof-Pinch-Guard/dp/B004ECJWK4/

These are from US Amazon but I would be surprised if you couldn't find something similar.

What some friends of ours did was to turn the handle upside down, so once the door was shut thier LO couldn't open it.

My friend did the door handle upside down thing to stop her escaping twins ;)

We've put a gate latch type thing on Tom's door so the cats can't get in and also he can't get out. It does need to be screwed in but its much smaller than a gate. It has a hook that you fix to the edge of the door and a piece with hole that goes on the frame.

Don't know if that kind of thing would work?

i can't for the life of me figure out how the upside down handle goes, probably because i have all knobs lol
