About 30 minutes ago, I was making DH a sandwich before he went to work, and I started feeling jittery. I have my own blood pressure cuff and decided to check just to see. And it was 153/106 and heart rate was 132. Decided to sit down for a bit to see if it would go down. It did a bit, but was still 138/103, with HB of 120. Then I had to put DS down for a nap. Again started feeling awful and my heart was pounding. BP jumped back up to 158/108 and HB was 142! I've called my OBs office and just waiting for a call back. I am so worried now. I had some BP spikes with DS, but late in the 3rd tri, and they never lasted long. I'm only 16w2d with this one.

aww hun i have bo machine at home an i felt dizzy ish one time an took my bp an it was 140/150 ish / 10? And i paniced but took 5mins later an had lowerd bit cant mind wht 2 an nxt 2 readings were ok i took first be false reading ?. Happend couple times. I got severe pre e in labour my 1st preg and my bp started rising 17wks with 2nd preg nw 21+5 with 3rd an readings with mw an most my own (take when feel weird an headachy) are fine. Try to relax as stress makes bp higher. I see my mw tmoz for 22wk home vis, i think the take bp etc so ill see how is.

oh forgot say was put bp meds 32wks second preg but didnt develop pre e. U may be put on meds which may be overnite hosp stay to monitor dossage etc an youl be closly monitored.

I took several reading right in a row to make sure it wasn't just a fluke reading. All were the same at first. I've been sitting quietly, just doing some relaxing breathing and it has dropped drastically. Maybe too much. It dropped about 40 points in 20 minutes. It's now about 12 points lower than my normal bp. I just feel weird now. Kind of weak. Still waiting for my nurse to call me back.

you can get dizzy etc if bp drops to fast. Hope your call comes in soon. I havent had my bp checked since 16weeks. Ive took few my own an it was high when i was 19+3.148/108 p said 51. I havent told my mw or consult tht i have home machine an tht afew readins have been real high as its lowered little by nxt one. My oh raged at me for buyin it lol. I did cause my booking bp last preg was high( 3+months after 1st preg) so mw always though bp much same as it was 14?/9? It did settle by 10weeks an i notice rising by 17weeks mw nvr said anything an took goin docs an them sendin me unit few times before i was put meds 32wks. So far nw 21+5 3rd an my mw reading are lowest ive seen lol much same a was 1st preg til labour.

Finally got a call back. She said at this point all they would recommend is to cut back on sodium, and when it does spike, to lay down on my left side with my feet propped up. Which will pretty much be all the time :( It seems to spike any time I do anything. Just walking across the house to the bathroom caused it to jump up higher and my heart to start pounding.
I have an appointment on the 19th and will talk to my OB a little more about it.

i hated tht some months after my second i still had high bp(hadnt really settled since 1st preg) i did 24hr monitoring an gp said borderline high so gave me lifestyle changes. I kinda did them anyways. Do you take caffene hun, this was on my list to reduce as well as pre packed dinners etc. I dnt take salt so couldnt cut this anyless.i just sucks. I was in hosp twice week last 10weeks preg for ecg, bp ,urine an once week bloods. Drove oh mad hope dosent happen this time got 2ynder 3s at home and cant ask many folk baby sit for god knows how many hours, dunno whts happening kids when am in labour lol. Just take easy an try not stress hun an deffo talk your ob on 19th an id pone if gets worse and your vision goes funny, i was also told chest pain too. Take care.
