Blood sugars

Hi everyone,

one of my friends has had her 2nd baby today at almost 39 weeks ( 9lbs) but he cant regulate his blood sugar and is in NICU, has anyone had any experiences of this and what happened?

My little one had sugar level issues for about 2 weeks while in the nicu. She was less than 2 pounds at the time as she was born at 23 weeks. They tested her levels and gave her insulin until her system started doing it on it's own.
