Hi girls, I didn't really know where to put this, but I searched blood test results and most results were in here... I had my 3rd miscarriage last month (all before 7 weeks), and a few days later had bloods done (tho the doctor hasnt mentioned them since, it was just to find out HCG levels), I only got the results today when I rang to make a docs appointment..and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on them?
Progesterone - 29.7
Estradiol - 364
Prolactin - 153
Serum FSH - 2.6
Serum LH - 2.8
NOW, I just did some googling and found this -
Elevated levels of estradiol tend to indicate a problem with ovarian reserve. In high amounts, estradiol can suppress the amount of FSH in your system. This can cause your FSH test to be inaccurate. We like to see the estradiol less than about 80. In many cases, a high estradiol level indicates a complication with FSH and ovarian reserve. This can lead to:
* lower pregnancy rates
* poor ovulation
* poor response to ovulation-inducing fertility drugs
* poorer success rate with IVF
80!? Mines is 364! FSH is apparently normal, but the estradiol cud be supressing it! But how would that be affecting my pregnancies? I've had 3 miscarriages the past 8 months, and although Im newly pregnant again, the lines on tests aren't that great, so I may lose this one too.
Any help/advice on what to ask the doctor to do next etc would be great, she didn't even seem to know how low progesterone affected pregnancies when I told her
