blood tests

Mu cousin is also TTC...she has gotten faint positives on here frer, the past 3 days. Her dr did a qualatative blood test today that came back negative. But he said those arnt always accurate. Has anyone else heard this? !
 
Yup... Qualitative means it's a yes/no answer- that lab sets an amount that is "high enough" they consider you pregnant and you're either past it or not. Let's say your lab sets it at 30 and you're very early in a pregnancy, you may only be at 29. You'd get a negative. Quantitative is much better because then you know your actual level- so that 29 would tell you that yes, you are pregnant.
