Blood tests

Hi everyone

I have been referred by my GP to the fertility clinic after 3 years TTC #2 so have been getting my bloods done and my hubby's analysis booked in. I got my CD21 bloods done and then my CD1 bloods too. The day after my CD1 bloods, I got a call to say the doctor wanted them repeated next week so I did that yesterday. I got a call again this morning saying she wants them again next week.

I know that this is for my progesterone but does anybody know why she would be wanting it checked weekly at the moment? I tried to ask the nurse yesterday and they had no idea and it would take ages to get through to speak to the doctor. I only had CD21 bloods done the first time I was referred 4 years ago when we were TTC #1 so this is a lot more needles being stuck in my arm haha.

I had mine checked every 2 days for 6 months to check ovulation patterns because they where irregular

Oh me, I think I should class myself as lucky just getting it once a week then!

I know that my CD21 bloods had been noted by the GP as satisfactory and I asked the number for the progesterone which was 27.8. I was then told by somebody that it had to be over 30 to indicate ovulation so I have no idea but I am thinking I should trust my GP!

I use to hate needles before this but after a while you get use to it, although all my veins are collapsing and im sure people thought I was a junkie or something from all the bruses

I was never actually told my result, my doctors seem to refuse to tell me anything, but they have listed me as 'unexplained' - its so patronising
