I had some blood taken today, the report says "Choriogonadotropin Intact+Beta Subunit" Is that beta or hcg or both??? I have noooo idea!

Anyway, my results were 6841 IU/L - I am 5weeks. Does anyone know what that means?

Can you read anything from that? I know my doc will tell me but I don't want to wait!

TIA

Beta just refers to your test being quantitative (how much hcg subunits in your blood) vs qualitative which means yes or no -there is hcg present or not. Really not much to interpret other than seeing your beta hcg amount in the chart averages for how many weeks you are- which is normal btw.
