Bloody show - people who already have children question!

At 28 weeks I was in hospital with irregular contractions and loss of plug - not bloody atal, then a week later was back in again cause I'd had a few bits with little bits of blood.
Now I'm 32 weeks and yesterday, every time I went to the loo, there was plug with blood in, and some fresh specks of blood on bad, altho not many atal!
With my son, I had bloody show and he was born the next morning but I was having irregular but strong contractions at the same time.
I just wondered if anyone had had their bloody show and not gone into labour until weeks later?
I'm still getting pains but nothing majorly strong and nothing I havnt had for weeks!
I havnt phoned atal because it seems to have stopped, but I am a little bit worried because of only being 32 weeks so just looking for some reassurance lol x

I have heard you can lose plug this far in advance and it mean nothing also heard it regrows. With mine inwas losing mine and having regular contractions and that was the start for me and also everyone is different.

Yeah Iv been loosing plug for weeks, only thing that's different now is the blood.
Glad that doesn't mean anything tho it's so different from my son lol x

I would still ask your dr or midwife about it because you're so early and I've heard that preterm labour can feel different than labour when you're full term. If it was just the plug I wouldn't bother because it can regrow but I think it would be worth asking since there is blood.

Id definitely phone the doc or midwife. Have you had a scan recently?

Any fresh red blood should be reported to your OB or midwife

its normal to lose plug over weeks/months BUT bloody show is different, i would ring up i had mine over two days and next morning waters went.

No I havnt, last scan was at 22+4 and only had that because they couldn't get all the measurements at the scan I had at 20+4 x

I've heard of people having bloody show but still not going into labor, but I've only ever gotten bloody show just before I went into active labor. I would get seen, even if it stopped, because I wouldn't want to go into labor at 32 weeks along... I mean, baby would be safe, but it would be scary for me to leave my baby hooked to machines in the NICU and go home without her. Best of luck!!! I hope that baby stays in there until they're ready!!!
