Hi all!

Just starting to think about weaning in a couple of weeks and would like to do BLW or a mix. We did a mix with DD1 but I am struggling to remember what she had when!

Do the first finger foods need to be soft and smooshable or can you give anything right away?

Thanks

We started of with soft veg sticks, sweet potato wedges, steamed carrots etc. Only for the first few days then just gave her what we having pretty much.

I found that early on harder food just when in, was processed around then spat back out, whereas softer food was more likely to be actually ingested. Not a bad thing, just my observations! I'd start with roasted veggies strips and go from there.

I had tried avocado tonight but was hard to hold. So I spread inon toast and she licked it off. Had porridge this morning in preloaded spoons.
