BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Yesterday for my little man...

Breakfast: Porridge made with oat milk and thinned with breastmilk; banana chunks
Lunch: Avocado on toast (don't think he liked this- he tried it then started crying hysterically so ended up with a little apple puree and a longer bf)
Dinner: Brocolli florets and parsnip wedges; potato, leek and peas mashed together

Pieces of baby wheatabix (with only a tiny bit of cold milk so he can pick it up) and banana sticks... Hardly anything eaten, probably a grape size amount. He's been a booby monster today.
Lunch has been haddock, avocado on toast (eating up leftovers) and an organix raspberry and blueberry rice cake... Initially his face was a picture as they are quite strongly flavoured. Seems to be enjoying it. Oh no a piece has made him gag and be sick. Only a little though. Some of the fish cake up... So that's a good way of seeing he does actually eat it. Haha.

Today little fella had...
Breakfast: Cow and Gate Wheaty biscuit with breastmilk
Lunch: Potato and tuna 'cake' (basically the inside of a jacket mashed with breastmilk and flaked tuna and grilled); brocolli florets and parsnip wedges
Dinner: Spinach, sweet potato, leek and parsnip (mashed); pieces of pasta (gummed but not eaten)

I looked here for meal ideas and I see all your babies eating weetabix and fruit and spaghettiband meatballs and yoghurt and fish etc but my. baby only eats bits and pieces? Am i missing something here?? Um really confused!

It's just the meal that was served. Doesn't mean they ate all of it :haha: :hugs: Sometimes, what I put, half of it ends up on the floor :hugs:

We started with tw but my LO started showing in interest in feeding himself by grabbing the spoon... so we do a mixture of pre-loaded spoons and bits and pieces.

I too find it a bit daunting reading these when it isn't clear exactly how much was eaten :)

Yesterday
B - toast and butter, ate half triangle, not that bothered. Ignored stick of kiwi and sucked stick of banana
L - rest of toast! Ate another triangle with cream cheese. And a banana baby biscuit (he LOVES these)
D - vegetable goulash, rice and soured cream. Ate maybe handful of this mixed together :)

Today ds has had:
B - buckwheat pancakes with butter and cinnamon, ate a small triangle piece ( mummy and daddy had waaay more!)
L - cucumber stick, 2x sticks of cheddar, half cherry tom (sucks out seeds), 1/4 new potato. This is a BIG lunch for him - and most of it actually went down too!
D - will be toast, butter and cream cheese (takeaway for mummy and daddy :) ) and he usually eats 1-2 triangles of it :)

Yesterday Rowan had...

Breakfast: Piece of crumpet (gummed this but don't think any went down!); Cow and Gate wheaty biscuit with apple and pear puree and breastmilk
Lunch: Baked sweet potato with a few reduced sugar/salt baked beans; couple of pasta twirls and a stick of parsnip
Dinner: Mashed potato and carrot; brocolli floret, aspargus spear (sucked but don't think he 'ate' any of this), parsnip wedge

Breakfast: toast with marmite - ate about half a slice and shared the rest with the floor. Kiwi - ate about a quarter and again shared with the floor and his hair :dohh:
Lunch: we tried a snacky type lunch as he's hardly been eating much lunch so I just gave him bits as he was playing instead. It worked well  he had about half a bread stick, 2 cheese strings & some tomato and carrot rice cakes (about 3 I think?)
Dinner: pizza, pasta with pesto, carrots & broccoli. Ate 1 piece of carrot, about 4 pieces of pasta, half the broccoli and demolished the pizza lol. He then had a yoghurt and is currently devouring a banana :happydance:

Breakfast - Melon, kiwi and rice crispies.
Lunch - peanut butter sandwich, satsuma
Tea - Tortelinni with broccoli, carrots and peas with grated cheese then yogurt.

Snacks on rice cakes, bread sticks and raisins.

Finding less and less is ending up on the floor now! Particularly if it's something he knows he likes!

I love this thread for ideas! Going to look up a chickpea patties recipe next!

Today for my little fella...

Breakfast: Porridge made with water and thinned with breastmilk
Lunch: Tuna, carrot and potato 'cakes', lettuce, cucumber sticks and wedges of tomato, a couple of pasta spirals (he LOVED the salad- very exciting as my daughter has never tried cucumber and only eats raw tomato if she's in the mood!)
Dinner: h/m ratatouie with a bit of wholegrain rice and some pieces of chapatti

Brekkie: dairy free pancakes with super jam
Lunch: houmous and avocado sandwich, organix carrot puffs, pear
Dinner: few pieces of kleftiko, two oregano potatoes, some pieces of roast carrot...hot banana with squidge of oat cream

B: pear, banana and weatabix
L: mint lamb sausage with stimmed veg (broccoli, asparagus, and baby corn) followed by 1/2 Banana
Snack: apple
Snack 2: strawberries x4
D: sweet potato droped scone, 1 pear and cinnamon muffin, 1 cookie, 1 mango slice, melon slice.

Yesturday:

B: fruits (mango, melon and banana)
L: stir fry (noodles, veg and chicken) he loves the noodles but ignores everything else. With rice cake in the end
D: tuna sandwich, cucumber and tomato week.
Snacks: apple and rice cakes (he fed me with the rice cake though).

B - porridge and half a banana
L - broccolli florets, pasta in a H/M cheese sauce then pears
D - toasted muffin with dairylea, cucumber sticks, ham slices and then yogurt

Brek: shreddies and half a banana
Lunch: tuna sandwich, organix carrot puffs, smoothie tube
Dinner: stir fried chicken (pork seemed a bit hard to chew today), noodles, sugar snaps. A hm df. mini blueberry muffin

TennisGal, how do you do your hot bananas? I remember my mum making them for me when I was little and they were yummy... I've no idea how she did them though:shrug:

Yesterday my little man had...

Breakfast: Wheaty biscuit with breastmilk; melon chunks
Lunch: Humous on toast, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, parsnip; an apple/pear/apricot fruit pot
Dinner: Mashed potato, sweet potato and spinach (offered pre-loaded spoon but preferred to eat this with his hands!); roasted red pepper and courgette; tinned peach slices

He is becoming increasingly proficient at actually eating the food as opposed to gumming and sucking... He ate so much at dinner time yesterday he wasn't interested in his bedtime milk :nope:

Breakfast: croissant and strawberries
Lunch: ham and philadelphia sandwich, carrot sticks
Dinner: grilled chicken breast, potato wedges, cucumber sticks

Rowan is developing quite a big appetite!

Today...

Breakfast: Porridge; melon and banana
Lunch: Crumpet with roasted garlic hummus, lettuce, roasted red pepper and courgette; Apple and cherry fruit pot
Dinner: Lentil, sweet potato and spinach daahl with a little wholegrain rice, toast fingers and a dried fig for pud (he LOVED this!)

Teething has made my little one very poorly and he's completely off his food which is so unlike him. Yesterday he was sick every time he ate, so weaned him back on today so he had

B - weetabix
L - goats cheese omelette (barely touched) & fruit
D - Porridge with fruit pot and yogurt (wolfed down)
